Dr. Liviano Folla

Dr. Liviano Folla, who is currently a dentistry professional in Italy, graduated in 1982 in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Trieste and afterwards followed a specialisation course in Oral Surgery and Bio-materials at the University of Chieti.

Since 1984 he has been practising Implantology, following the most established implantation techniques and using the best lines of products available on the market and since 1988 he has practised the sinus-lifting operations, carrying out a histologic study, in co-operation with the University of Trieste, concerning the quality of the neoformed bone.

In 1995 he was in the United States, at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the New Jersey University and in 1996 at the Department of Oral Surgery, University of Berne in Switzerland, Chairman Prof. Daniel Buser.

Since 1995 he has been involved in experimental researches in the field of titanium fusion for prosthesis purposes and has authored a unique research regarding the titanium handmade prosthesis, discussed on February 2000 at the International Symposium of the Universities of Milan, Padua and Basilea.

On the same topic he was lecturer at the University of Madrid and Barcelona.

He has authored several articles concerning multicentric follow-up studies on the use of implant with external hexagon, published in Quintessence International Journal.

He was lecturer at the Oral Implantology Courses held in Bled by the Univeristy of Lublijana (Slovenia) and in many international dentistry conferences in Italy, Spain, Austria, Slovenia and Chorvatia.
